Mark Doughten started Data Evolution in May 2020, a research firm focused on improving the well-being of people and communities around the world.

He earned a B.Sc. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The College of New Jersey, a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Oregon State University, and an M.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers University.

His specialties span AI systems, data science, data engineering, benchmarking, infrastructure, supply chain analytics, and applied research.

Dylon Patel joined Data Evolution in August 2025 as Principal, Healthcare.

He earned a B.Sc. in Biology from The College of New Jersey, an M.B.A. with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University, and an M.D. from Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

His specialties include diabetes, clinical research, healthcare administration, discretionary spending allocation, and standardized guideline development at the corporate level.
